Job Description

You will be based out of either Sydney or Melbourne and work with our McKinsey Academy team in Australia. You'll be part of a group of highly motivated entrepreneurs to drive our go-to-market strategy, build client relationships, and ensure successful design and delivery of our client programs.

McKinsey Academy’s mission is to accelerate transformations of companies and countries by unlocking the potential of their people. We do this by closely partnering with business and HR leaders to reimagine the approach to developing their leaders and building capabilities across the organization. McKinsey Academy is our center of excellence for leadership development and learning. We work closely with McKinsey Client Service Teams (CSTs) and directly with large organizations to identify and develop opportunities. Our offerings include Signature Programs, Custom Programs, Coaching Journeys, and Proprietary Diagnostics. We also have a cutting-edge digital platform, developed in partnership with edX and organizations like Harvard, Stanford, and MIT, to scale leadership development globally.

McKinsey Academy is designed for rising professionals and senior teams to develop the capabilities they need to help their organizations thrive. Our programs include courses developed and taught by McKinsey partners, combined with perspectives from the broader market including academics, executives, and thought leaders. The programs combine group-based project work and the newest social approaches that reinforce effective, lasting skills development. With optional in-person components, our programs can be a cost-effective way to build the capabilities of a large number of participants across an organization.

You will lead a cross-functional team of instructional designers, experts, and external vendors to design, produce, and deliver digital courses and in-person workshops on topics related to business and professional development

In your role you will work with senior partners and experts at the firm to develop engaging, cutting-edge content for business professionals across a range of functional, leadership, and management-related content. You will support client pursuits and collaborate with clients to configure program experiences that match their priorities. Additionally, you will plan and coordinate processes for measuring program impact, including synthesizing takeaways for client discussion and incorporating relevant changes into the McKinsey Academy content production processes.

You will operate in a rapidly growing new business inside McKinsey that values an entrepreneurial mindset and an applied, practical, non-hierarchical approach to teams and execution.

This is intended to be a full time role, but given it has a project-based nature, we can be flexible as to whether it is a full-time or a part-time role. We can also provide flexibility with working hours.

  • Experience with education technology, organization or professional development or capability building is ideal
  • A background in Executive Education and Program Management is preferred
  • Project management and/or digital content development experience
  • Client facing expertise also a plus
  • Organized, with strong attention to detail
  • Structured verbal and written communications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
